#TripleShine **I received this complimentary from Influenster
First of all, I got Red Snapper. If you aren't familiar with the colors, Red Snapper is a BRIGHT, EXTREMELY OPAQUE reddish-orangey color. Very very bright. Now I don't normally wear nail polish because my dad is super averse to it... But I put it on my toenail without him knowing. And that is some beautiful polish. First coat and it was already completely opaque and bright and vibrant -- I love nail polish and colors, and finally being able to see what it looks like on me was great. It really looks beautiful and even though no one else can see it, I feel so much more confident and girly. So I guess that's my shining moment. Thanks Influenster and Sally Hansen, this was great.

Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spas
Before we start, I received this product complimentary through Influenster!!
So I received the Glacial Cloudberry mask.. Opened it up and the smell definitely was not my favorite, but it grew on me in the 15 minute I spend with it. It's a very interesting concept -- feels like a clay mask but on a fabric sheet so there's a simple clean up. It was SOSOSOSO cold and nice, my skin felt so soothed. Since I've been breaking out from stress lately, this was very nice and made some of the redness and swelling go away. After I took it off, I just rinsed my face with some water and tossed the sheet. My skin felt tighter, brighter, and just so much nicer. Although there weren't any long-lasting effects from just one use, I like living the life of luxury sometimes. It was a wonderful 20 minutes :) And at such an inexpensive price, it's definitely worth it.

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak
So I finally got to try a dry shampoo after receiving it from Influenster in the Violet Voxbox. I've always wanted to try a dry shampoo, but I've been using just normal baby powder because it seems to do the trick as well.
Personally, I'm not sure if I'm just using it wrong or what, but this dry shampoo doesn't really absorb all the oils, and I'm putting quite a bit/layering because it doesn't seem to be doing any more than my baby powder does. And it does smell a bit like baby powder. Don't know if I'd purchase this on my own.
I also tried shaking it to see if anything would come out. Is it supposed to come out white? I get a slightly white powder on my hair, but even brushing it through doesn't seem to do a lot.
Maybe I just need more practice. The concept is nice and I really want to like this dry shampoo!

#VioletVoxbox
So I just got my VoxBox today!
I got:
1) Sally Hansen Triple Shine nail polish in Red Snapper, which is this wonderfully vibrant reddish/pinkish/orangey color. The brush is really thick and wide, the kind that gives you more coverage in less strokes. I can't wait to try this out! It really does look like a Red Snapper fish color-wise, just slightly more pigmented :)
2) Montagne Jeunesse face mask, which I havent tried yet, but I will later tonight! so excited.. I've been having really dry skin, especially with my heatdish and heater on.. ugh.
3) SoyJoy baked whole soy & fruit bar in dark chocolate cherry. This was okay, definitely not my favorite. I thought a lot of people have been saying soy isn't that healthy? Flavor-wise, it feels and tastes like an energy/health bar - pretty dry, almost like I'm eating a wet brick, as wonderful as that sounds. Honestly though, the more I ate it, the more I started liking the texture and flavor. It's definitely not very sweet, which I like, but it has quite a bit of saturated fat. The bar itself is pretty small for so much packaging. I'm not too picky with flavors so it was okay, but I'd give it about a 5/10. Meh.
4) Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo. I WAS SO EXCITED TO GET THIS. I've always wanted to try dry shampoo because somedays I go 2-3 days without washing, and especially if I touch my hair too much it gets super gross and greasy, especially near my crown and the front. I've usually used baby powder which does the trick, but I've always wanted to try a real dry shampoo. YES!
5) Goody Athletique headband. It's a pretty standard reversible headband in black and pink. I'll probably use this when I'm on an off day for washing my hair or just to get it out of my face. I've been using a child's headband for the past couple of months, so this is great :)
And that's it! Very excited to try all these things out. Thank you Influenster! and of course all these companies.

Slim Fast Review!
This post was created in connection with my appointment as a SlimFast Ambassador.
Slim Fast Recipes: http://wow.slim-fast.com/cocktailrecipes.pdf
So I actually ended up giving this to my mom and she said it was pretty good. obviously one bottle isnt enough to achieve any results, but she said it was filling enough and pretty tasty, especially for something meant for a diet.

Review and Impressions! Tastykake® Kandy Bar Kakes
*I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster*
"The Tasty Baking Company, founded in 1914 and located in Philadelphia, Pa., is one of the country’s leading bakers of snack cakes, pies, cookies, and donuts. As a subsidiary of Flowers Foods, the company has bakery facilities in Philadelphia and Oxford, Pa. that offer more than 100 products under the Tastykake brand name. Celebrated for their freshness and quality ingredients, the Tastykake line includes such classics as Krimpets, Kandy Kakes, Juniors, and Kreamies. For more information on Tasty Baking Company, visit www.tastykake.com."
Basically this snack cake is a little bit like a fancied up twinkie, although with a much better taste. At 25 grams of sugar, it's definitely not too healthy, but as an occasional treat this is delicious. The chocolate exterior is very sweet and yummy and the cake and cream interior is not nearly as sweet, providing a great balance.
Overall this treat was definitely yummy although the high sugar content was definitely a bit of a turn off. I shared this with my mom and even she agreed that it was quite good and resembled a Korean cake we've had before. Coming from someone who isn't very into sweets, I really enjoyed this Kandy Kake! Thanks for reading!

Review: Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Dust It
*I received this product complimentary for testing from Influenster!* Dust It is a multi purpose mattifying powder that adds incredible root lift, texture and control. Perfect for creating thicker, fuller-looking hair. It is around $24 in stores. Here is a link to the Schwarzkopf website: http://www.schwarzkopf-professionalusa.com/
Basically the only Schwarzkopf product I have used before is the got2be kinkier double curling power mousse. Overall the impression I get is that it's very professional and the price isn't too bad.
I've already heard great reviews about Dust It; mainly the fact that you really don't need that much product at all in order to get that lifted voluminous hair us thin-haired girls have always dreamt of. The product doesn't smell insanely great like other hair products, but it definitely does it's job and a little goes a long way. It's got adorable packaging and gives me a good lift in all the right places.
I recommend everyone try this out! It may seem a little pricey because it's only 0.35 ounces, but trust me, this'll last you months!
